This country and its youth have been devastated by ongoing wars that found thousands of people being killed, children abducted and herded into "death" camps, or forced to become child soldiers through brutal indoctrination. Thankfully, the nation of Uganda is now in a period of recovery but there are few resources available to help children heal, be educated, and simply find safe places to play and grow.
